We are closely monitoring the situation regarding the Gaza Flotilla and remain in contact with our S&D MEP, Annalisa Corrado, who is on board. Israel must respect international law and guarantee the safety of the whole flotilla.
It is a humanitarian mission, posing no danger or threat to anyone.Two years have passed since the horrific terrorist attack by Hamas against Israel — and two years since the disproportionate military response by Prime Minister Netanyahu’s government.
Any plan for peace in the region must start with ending the ongoing genocide in Gaza, the immediate release of all hostages and allowing humanitarian aid to reach people. Lasting peace means a democratic Palestinian State alongside a safe Israel. Palestinians deserve peace and democracy like all people.
